New Shades from Revlon and Maybelline, and a L’Oreal Teaser

This is just a quick post to show you some additional shades that I got of the Revlon Lip Butters and Maybelline Color Tattoo 24Hr Eyeshadows.  This Lip Butter is in the shade Fig Jam, and the Color Tattoos are in 25 Bad to the Bronze and 35 Tough as Taupe.  I’m really excited to have these Color Tattoo shades because they were the two that I wanted most, but were sold out.  Props to my sister for securing these shades for me.  (Thank you, I love them!!!)  Click on the photos to enlarge.

Revlon Lip Butter in Fig Jam

At first, I thought Fig Jam would be way too dark for me until I saw it on my sister and discovered that it is actually pretty sheer.  (Swatches at the end)  It provides me with a lovely warm natural looking lip that I love.  Click here to see my full review of Revlon Lip Butters based on my first two shades, and here for swatches of the additional shades that I have acquired.

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24Hr Eyeshadow in 25 Bad to the Bronze

Bad to the Bronze is a gorgeous color.  I think it may be my favorite out of the seven that I now own.  It doesn’t look like much in the pan, but it goes on with such an intense metallic shimmer.  It’s so pretty and looks great all by itself.  Check out my full review here of the Maybelline Color Tattoo 24Hr Eyeshadows and see the swatches of the other shades I own.

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24Hr Eyeshadow in 35 Tough as Taupe

Tough as Taupe is one of the few matte shades in the Color Tattoo line, and is a really versatile brownish gray.  It looks more brown and warm in the pan, but actually goes on cooler toned and more gray than you would think.  It’s a perfect base color, and will pair well with several shades.  This should definitely be one of the Maybelline Color Tattoo 24Hr Eyeshadow shades that you pick up.

Here are swatches of all three shades:

I also wanted to let you know what will be coming up soon here at BiBB.  A couple of you mentioned on my giveaway post that you are really interested in the new L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows.  I can tell you that I have 5 of them to review for you and just want to spend a little more time testing them before I post about them.  But rest assured, they will be coming soon.  In the meantime, here is a little teaser pic to tide you over.

Be sure to enter my 100th Post Giveaway by midnight on Sunday.  Remember, you must Subscribe and Comment on that post in order to qualify.

About beautyinbudgetblog

I am a self proclaimed eyeshadow junkie whose main hobbies include shopping, reading, singing, and mainlining caffeine while hanging out with my friends. I love interesting socks and have amassed quite a collection. The place that I want to visit before I die would be Greece. I like to read all seven Harry Potter books once a year the way some people read the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. (Sorry JRRT, but JKR kicks butt in my book.) I love art, and use my creativity in many different ways through painting, crafts, and makeup. I love to cook and try new things, and I especially love to eat. My favorite "date" is to go wine tasting, and do so with my husband once or twice a year. I love musical theater and think the world would be much better off if we all just watched more musicals. I am 100% a cat person and, although I think dogs can be really cute and sweet, they make me sneeze so cats will always rule. I love faeries and magic, mythology, theology, philosophy, and psychology. I regularly do logic puzzles and sometimes crosswords. I adore Bette Midler, Betty White, and Carol Burnett. I am not ashamed to admit that I watch Glee. I would like to start making some of my own clothes because I can't stop myself from buying fabric. I'm sure that there is much more, but I'm suddenly distracted by something shiny.

  1. I need makeup intervention LOL..I have acrued quite a collection of the Revlon Lip Butter..LOVE!!LOVE!!LOVE!! It’s perfect for me due to the fact that I’m more of a warm neutral kinda girl so I like the sheerness with a little hint of color, and they are amazingly moisturizing. It’s the perfect name Lip Butter.I feel like a hoarder I just can’t get enough of these. If you don’t have any get them. I just purchased a Maybelline Tatoo in I think Punk Pomegranite something like that anyways I’m going to try that out this weekend..Keep on smiling

  2. Can’t wait to try out the Color Tattoo. Do you have any tips for applying them the most effectively? I’ve never tried anything but pure powder eyeshadow but I’m constantly looking for something that will last and not crease (which everything seems to). Great blog! As someone who was recently laid off, it’s great to know I can still buy beauty products that are good and won’t break the bank!

    • Thanks! I apply the cream shadows with my fingers and have been able to blend two shades together without use of a brush. I am playing with different brushes for blending shades, but it’s really whatever you find the most comfortable for you.

  3. Wow the shade Fig Jam looks really nice, I haven’t seen it mentioned on many blogs!! I can’t wait to try Loreal’s Color Tatoo shadows, hope there released in Ireland xx
