Wow, this week has not been the norm. Charlotte was hit by the great Snowpocalypse of 2014, and since NC is prone to over-react to everything, the city basically shut down. So my husband, who is usually at work all day, got a half day Wednesday and a snow day yesterday and was home. I have a really hard time getting anything done when he’s home, so that is why there haven’t been multiple posts this week. Sorry that I couldn’t get that tutorial shot. Instead, I have a few new products to show you from Milani.
First off some beauty news, Milani now has two new shades of their baked blush, and they are- wait for it- MATTE blushes. That’s right, the awesome Milani Baked Blushes are now coming matte. I haven’t seen them in stores yet, so no pics, but I’ve seen some other people swatch them and they look awesome. Here are the product pics that Milani has on their website.
Delizioso Pink (above) is a hot pink shade, and Bella Rosa (below) is a bright raspberry, reddish pink shade.
These two new matte shades are not limited edition, they are in the permanent line on the website. I really hope that Milani offers more matte shades in the future if these two new blushes are received well. The formula of the Milani Baked Blushes is fantastic. The main complaint about them is that they are shimmery, so matte additions are a great choice. You can get more information or order them for $7.99 at milanicosmetics.com.
Milani has a new Eye Tech Perfection Liquid Liner. The ergonomic handle and extremely fine felt-tip point are supposed to make application easier. You may recognize the funky shape as being very similar to the ergonomic liner that NYX put out last year. I never got around to trying NYX’s version, but I don’t remember it getting great reviews, especially considering the $15 price tag. On the plus side, Milani’s Eye Tech Perfection Liquid Liner is half the price of NYX, so if your curiosity is piqued, then it’s not as big of an investment to give it a try.
For lips, Milani has released Lip Intense Liquid Color and Power Lip Gloss Stains. Here’s what Milani has to say about the Lip Intense Liquid Color: “Satisfy your craving for shockingly intense, super-shiny,full lip color with Lip Intense Liquid Color. Lip Intense applies like a highshine gloss, but has the longevity and wear of a lipstick. The sponge-tip applicator allows for a fast, easy, and precise application.” Like several liquid lip colors on the market right now, these have the pigmentation of a lipstick, but the application of a gloss.
The Power Lip Gloss Stains have a brush tip and the product twists up through the brush, sort of like a Stila Lip Glaze. Here’s what Milani has to say: “Power Lip Lasting & Moisturizing Gloss Stain combines the shine of a gloss with the long wear of a stain. When first applied it goes on like a high-shine gloss, and then wears to a rich stain that lasts. Formula cushions lips and provides a non-drying, comfortable wear. Get the power of a bold lip in just one click!” Both of these lip products are getting rave reviews already.
Milani does have a few more new products out, but those were the only ones that I have come across. I am very excited that my local Walgreens is now carrying Milani. I end up at Walgreens more than CVS or Rite-Aid, and I really like Milani, so I’m glad that it’s becoming easier to find the brand. All of these products, as well as their other new additions, are available online at milanicosmetics.com. I am definitely going to be keeping my eyes out for the new matte baked blushes, and I am really curious about how the new lip products perform. Do any of these items interest you?
