Ipsy bag, April 2014

I am so excited about my Ipsy bag this month.  I cheated and looked online at the sneak peeks, and each new reveal made me more and more anxious to recieve my bag.  The theme for April is “Beauty Rocks”, and Ipsy certainly delivered.  “Life is a dance floor, so why not live it up, sing out loud, and shake them hips?! This month, we’re celebrating our unique beauty to the sound of tunes and festivals that fill the spring air. So, whether you’re chilling in a campground or spinning in a ballroom, all of your April “Beauty Rocks!” products will help your lovely look become a hit!”  For those who don’t know, Ipsy is a subscription service.  For $10 a month, you will receive a makeup bag containing 4-5 deluxe beauty samples.  You often receive full size products, and the overall value of each bag will vary from month to month, but it is always well over the $10 subscription fee.  Let’s get into what came in this month’s bag.

Ipsy

The grand total worth for April’s Ipsy bag is $48.78.  That’s quite a bit more than my $10 subscription fee.  I am so excited to try everything that came in my bag this month.  I love the theme, and I am happy with all of my products.  The only thing that makes me hesitate is the Cailyn Tinted Lip Balm because something that is so matte and long-lasting has to be at least a little drying, and my lip are already pretty dry.  But I am thrilled to get the new Black Velvet UD liner.  I’m also pretty anxious to try the Dr. Brandt and Sexy Hair samples.  The City Color Mousse looks interesting too.  In my opinion, Ipsy really nailed it this month.  I’m very pleased and excited to see what they have in store for May.  If you would like to sign up for your own Ipsy bag, go ahead and click on this referral link.  I’ve been a subscriber for about a year and a half, and I am extremely happy with Ipsy.  I wholeheartedly recommend it.

About beautyinbudgetblog

I am a self proclaimed eyeshadow junkie whose main hobbies include shopping, reading, singing, and mainlining caffeine while hanging out with my friends. I love interesting socks and have amassed quite a collection. The place that I want to visit before I die would be Greece. I like to read all seven Harry Potter books once a year the way some people read the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. (Sorry JRRT, but JKR kicks butt in my book.) I love art, and use my creativity in many different ways through painting, crafts, and makeup. I love to cook and try new things, and I especially love to eat. My favorite "date" is to go wine tasting, and do so with my husband once or twice a year. I love musical theater and think the world would be much better off if we all just watched more musicals. I am 100% a cat person and, although I think dogs can be really cute and sweet, they make me sneeze so cats will always rule. I love faeries and magic, mythology, theology, philosophy, and psychology. I regularly do logic puzzles and sometimes crosswords. I adore Bette Midler, Betty White, and Carol Burnett. I am not ashamed to admit that I watch Glee. I would like to start making some of my own clothes because I can't stop myself from buying fabric. I'm sure that there is much more, but I'm suddenly distracted by something shiny.
