I am so excited to show you my April Ipsy bag! I love everything that I received. For those who are new to the blog and don’t know, Ipsy is a beauty subscription service. For $10 a month (plus tax in some states), you will receive a makeup bag containing 4-5 deluxe beauty samples. You often receive full size products, and the overall value of each bag will vary from month to month, but it is always well over the $10 subscription fee. April’s theme was Beautifully Bohemian: “She is just some wild thing. Let her laugh, live, love, and roam free on her own terms, and she is sure to come back to you.” Uhmm… okay Ipsy, whatever you say. To be honest, I didn’t really see how the products I received reflect the theme (except for the all-natural vegan one), but I do like the colorfully woven Boho bag that came this month. It’s a keeper. Now, onto the products.
Pandora’s Makeup Box Pink Carnation Blush: “Pandora’s Makeup Box Pink Carnation Blush is suitable for all skin tones and made with long-lasting, vibrant pigments with a silky texture for easy application. The formula is designed for professional use and contains the best quality pigment and ingredients to highlight the cheekbone for the ultimate glowing texture and color.” This product is full size, and worth $14 at pandorasmakeupbox.com.
theBalm Cosmetics NUDE Dude Eyeshadow Single in Fit: “Introducing theBalm’s latest addition to the Nude series… Nude Dude! Get a quick look using any combination of these triple-milled shadows or dress up your look by adding water to transform your favorite shades into loyal liners. The shadows can be worn wet or dry and alone or layered for added intensity, so go ahead and cover (or uncover) your eyes.” The palette of 12 shadows is .336 oz, worth $36 at thebalm.com. Sample size is .035 oz, worth $3.75.
Mullein & Sparrow Mini Lip & Cheek Tint: “Mullein & Sparrow Mini Lip & Cheek Tint is an all-natural, sheer, tinted balm that gives your lips and cheeks a slight flush and dewy finish. Apply desired amount to lips for nourishment, protection, and color. Dab a small amount on cheeks as a light cream blush. MicaBeauty Eye Primer: “MicaBeauty Eye Primer is perfect for everything from sealing in eye shadows and foundation, to enhancing your all-day look. Go from shimmer to matte in just seconds. Sample size is 4 g, worth $22.48.
Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Moisturizing Lipstick in Red Door Red: “Clinically proven to keep lips moisturized all day, Beautiful Color Moisturizing Lipstick is infused with moisture-enriched pigments that provide rich, lasting color and leave your lips feeling soft and smooth. Volulip helps to seal in moisture to give your lips a fuller, more sumptuous appearance. Volulip has also been shown to increase the look of lip volume by 15% and firmness by 13%. 96% of women saw an improvement in lip softness and smoothness after just one use. Shea Butter: A natural emollient that soothes and protects lips. Vitamins A, C, E: A powerful blend of vitamins to help keep lips looking moisturized and healthy.” This is a full size product, worth $25 at elizabetharden.com.
The grand total worth of my April Ipsy bag is a whopping $75.23. Three of my products this month were full size, and only the eye shadow feels like an actual sample versus a full product. I am completely blown away by the Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Moisturizing Lipstick. That product alone is well worth the $10 subscription fee. I could not believe it when I received it in my bag. I am extremely happy with the products that I received. I can not wait to try the MicaBeauty Eye Primer and the Elizabeth Arden Lipstick. The Pandora’s Makeup Box blush looks beautiful. I will probably get use out of the eyeshadow sample from theBalm. It’s a pretty color, and I know that their shadow formula is good. I also like getting the chance to try an all-natural brand like Mullein & Sparrow that I have never heard of. Ipsy totally nailed it this month.
