New from E.L.F. Summer 2015

Standard

There are several new products available on eyslipsface.com for e.l.f.’s Beautifully Bare Summer 2015 line up, and I wanted to show some of them to you today.  I have said in previous posts that I think e.l.f. has really been trying to step it up over the last couple years and cater to a more sophisticated crowd.  I definitely think these new products fall right in line with that goal.  There has been a slight increase in price, but I think that e.l.f has raised the quality of their products, and the extra dollar or two is justified.  Let’s take a look at the newest batch of products.  (All images and descriptions are from e.l.f.’s website.)

e.l.f. Studio Retractable Kabuki Brush

The next brush is part of the new Beautifully Bare Collection.  This is the e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Blending Brush.  “Create a flawless look that’s beautiful and natural looking with our Blending Brush. The unique shape of the brush head provides even, streak-free coverage for a smooth, expertly blended effect. The ultra-fine synthetic fibers are hand cut, shaped, and assembled by artisans for expert craftmanship for a luxury experience. The soft hair is vegan-friendly and easy to clean with e.l.f. Next up is the e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Foundation Serum that comes in three shades: Fair/Light, Light/Medium, an Medium/Dark.  “Creates a flawless look that’s beautiful and natural looking. This weightless silky formula melts into skin seamlessly for a radiant and youthful-looking base. The luminous, dewy finish helps boost suppleness and minimize the appearance of pores and fine lines for flawless coverage. This Broad Spectrum UVA/UVB SPF 25 formula is designed to help revitalize color and radiance to skin so you look as if you’re barely even wearing makeup. Infused with Vitamin A, C, & E, Grape Seed Oil, Pomegranate Oil, and Goji Berry to help brighten, restore, nourish and protect the skin. For slightly fuller coverage and a custom-blended shade, mix a little formula with the Flawless Foundation for a personalized effect. It’s makeup so flawless, it feels like you’re not even wearing makeup!”  The Beautifully Bare Foundation Serum is $8 for .47 fl oz.

e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Lash Tint Mascara

There are two mascaras in the new Beautifully Bare Collection.  The first is the e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Lash Tint Mascara with the super thin wand.  “This innovative and revolutionary applicator expertly combs and coats every individual lash for weightless coverage. The rich formula creates buildable volume from root to tip for fuller-looking lashes. If you want your mascara to work double duty, use a small brush grab the mascara on the applicator and smudge along the lash line as an eyeliner for a more dramatic effect!”  The Beautifully Bare Lash Tint Mascara retails for $4.

e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Defining Mascara

The second mascara in the collection is the e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Defining Mascara, which has a more traditional wand.  “This expert brush combs and coats lashes with weightless coverage to define and separate. The microfiber-infused formula creates buildable volume from root to tip for fuller-looking lashes. For thicker looking lashes allow formula to mildly set to add extra volume and help avoid clumping.”  Beautifully Bare Defining Mascara is also $4.

The last product for today is the e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Lip Tint.  It looks like there is only one shade at this time, but more are on their way.  “This light gel tint’s hydrating formula helps keep lips soft. This innovative oil-based lip color creates a fresh, youthful looking tint that glides on smoothly and melts into lips. Infused with Vitamin A & E, Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil, Grape Oil, and Olive Oil, this formula helps nourish and moisturize lips imparting a soft shine. It’s like you’re wearing a leave-on lip mask for continual replenishing comfort! Create your own custom color by blending shades together or layering on top of your favorite e.l.f. lipstick or lip color.”  The Beautifully Bare Lip Tint retails for $5 for .37 oz.

Those are a lot of new products to explore from e.l.f.’s Summer 2015 lineup.  Everything that I mentioned today is available at eyeslipsface.com.  I don’t know when or if they will be released to Target stores.  I think e.l.f. is being pretty smart with the items that they have been introducing lately, and think that they are trying to appeal to a wider audience.  Do you think that they are being successful with the Beautifully Bare Collection?  Did any of these new products catch you eye, and are you thinking of placing an order?  Have you already gotten any of these items and have an opinion on them?  Let me know in the comments below.

  1. I caved this morning and placed an elf order online. I got a lot of these new items you mention here! I ordered the cream blush (in two shades), the blending brush and the lash tint mascara (with the thought that it might be good for bottom lashes). I’m looking forward to getting the order and trying everything out! I would’ve gotten one (or two) of the lip tints, too, but they were all sold out.

    • I would love to hear your thoughts when everything arrives and you get a chance to play with them. I haven’t placed an e.l.f. order in a long time, but they have so many new products that look great. I have been frustrated that their “new” items have been excluded from their recent sales. Hopefully that will change. I will probably end up placing an order soon regardless. 🙂

      • My order arrived two days ago, and I’ve had a chance to try a few things! So far, I’ve tried the Beautifully Bare Blending Brush, which I really like; it’s great for applying bronzer and blending it out. It kind of reminds me of a similar brush from It Cosmetics (which I haven’t tried) that costs a whole lot more.

The only other thing I’ve tried so far are the cream blushes, and OMG they are AWFUL. Stay away from these! They are dry and not pigmented at all, and it takes a lot of work to build up any color on my cheeks. Plus, any color I do manage to get on there only lasts for a few hours before it disappears. Total waste of money!

I did also get the new Ultimate Blending Brush, which you didn’t mention in this post but maybe you’ve talked about it before. I like it a lot for liquid foundation!
