Today I am reviewing the L’Oreal Revitalift Volume Filler Skincare Line.  I was sent several products in a Voxbox from Influenster for review.  For those who have never heard of Influenster, here is what they say on their “about” page:  “Influenster is a free-to-join community of trendsetters, social media masterminds, and educated consumers who live to give opinions of products and experiences.  The Influenster site is a hub where members meet to learn about new products from our favorite brands as well as review the products they already use in their day-to-day lives!  Influenster invites its most active members to participate in exclusive VoxBox programs where members receive complimentary products to test and review. In exchange, we ask our members to do what they already love to do: share their opinions with their friends & followers on social media!  But that’s not all. We have a lot going on including digital challenges, twitter parties, & contests!”  Check out influenster.com for more info.  Now, on to the goodies.

L’Oreal Revitalift Volume Filler Line

I was sent the Revitalift Volume Filler Serum, Eye Cream, Day Cream, and Night Cream.  Here is what L’Oreal has to say about the line: “L’Oréal Paris reveals a new collection of anti-aging skincare products that help correct skin volume loss, a sign of aging that often gets neglected. The special formulation contains an exceptionally high concentration of skin plumping ingredients Hyaluronic Acid and Fibroxyl, which provide an effective solution to thinning skin, fine lines, wrinkles and volume loss. Revitalift Volume Filler line has our first anti-aging skincare products that target skin volume loss head on. Skin resiliency is restored, while the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles are smoothed. Immediately skin is hydrated. After just 4 weeks of use, the cheekbones show more fullness, under eye area is less hollowed and there is an overall reduction in fine lines and wrinkles.”  These products are kind of all over the place, with both good and bad aspects to the formula.  I’ll talk about them each individually.

L'Oreal Revitalift Volume Filler Daily Re-Volumizing Concentrated Serum

L’Oreal Revitalift Volume Filler Daily Re-Volumizing Concentrated Serum

L’Oreal Revitalift Volume Filler Daily Re-Volumizing Concentrated Serum: I love the innovative packaging for this serum.  The idea is that you can put off getting injectables by using these products, so the serum is housed in a package that is reminiscent of a syringe.  It’s cute and clever.  Of course, no topical product will ever give you the same results as injectables, no matter what it is.  This serum has a gel-like consistency that spreads easily into the skin. It feels nice and has a pleasant scent.  The issue with this product is the presence of alcohol and the lack of multiple anti-aging ingredients.  I don’t think this serum did anything for my skin.

L'Oreal Revitalift Volume Filler Eye Treatment

L’Oreal Revitalift Volume Filler Eye Treatment: This eye cream has a thicker formula than I am used to, which is characteristic of this line.  They all have a thick, gel-based formula.  I like the way the eye cream feels, but I have not seen any noticeable difference in my wrinkles or the under-eye hollows that this product claims to target.  It is nicely moisturizing, though, so I will definitely finish this tube.  I won’t be re-purchasing however.

L'Oreal Revitalift Volume Filler Daily Re-Volumizing Moisturizer

L’Oreal Revitalift Volume Filler Daily Re-Volumizing Moisturizer

L’Oreal Revitalift Volume Filler Daily Re-Volumizing Moisturizer: This is the day cream of the Revitalift Volume Filler line, so right away, I need to take a point away for having no SPF at all in the formula. The moisturizer has a thick, somewhat sticky formula that takes a long time to absorb into the skin.  It is not ideal to lie under makeup, and can cause some application issues with your foundation or primer.  I did enjoy how moisturizing it is, but the formula suffers from a lack of major anti-aging ingredients and it does contain alcohol.  If you have oily skin there is no way you can handle this goopy formula.

L'Oreal Revitalift Volume Filler Night Cream

L’Oreal Revitalift Volume Filler Night Cream

L’Oreal Revitalift Volume Filler Night Cream: There is very little difference between the day and night creams in this line. Since the day cream has no SPF, it is completely unnecessary to have both.  Again, the formula is thick and a little sticky.  I found it difficult to wash the creams off of my hands after applying them.  The night cream provides nice hydration, but brings little else to the table.

My main issue with the L’Oreal Revitalift Volume Filler is that it broke me out.  I don’t know if it was because of the fragrance (which is pleasant, but not helpful) or the alcohol in the formula, but my skin was not pleased.  I used the products for three weeks, then stopped using them to see if that would clear my skin up.  I have been under a lot of stress, so after a week of not using them, I went back to the Revitalift Volume Filler to see if it really was the culprit.  Right away my skin broke out again.  In total, I used the Revitalift Volume Filler for 4.5 weeks.  I did not see any noticeable difference in my lines or wrinkles.  My skin did not look fuller, smoother, or more vibrant.  I don’t think that the L’Oreal Revitalift Volume Filler line works.  Perhaps if I continued to use the products I would see a difference, but my skin is too sensitive to keep going.  I will not be finishing these products, with the exception of the eye cream.  If you are looking for a good drugstore skin care line, I recommend Neutrogena or Olay products.

FTC Disclosure: The products reviewed in this post were sent to me for free by Influenster for review.  This does not guarantee a positive review, and my thoughts on these products are 100% honest.  No other type of compensation was offered or accepted.

About beautyinbudgetblog

I am a self proclaimed eyeshadow junkie whose main hobbies include shopping, reading, singing, and mainlining caffeine while hanging out with my friends. I love interesting socks and have amassed quite a collection. The place that I want to visit before I die would be Greece. I like to read all seven Harry Potter books once a year the way some people read the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. (Sorry JRRT, but JKR kicks butt in my book.) I love art, and use my creativity in many different ways through painting, crafts, and makeup. I love to cook and try new things, and I especially love to eat. My favorite "date" is to go wine tasting, and do so with my husband once or twice a year. I love musical theater and think the world would be much better off if we all just watched more musicals. I am 100% a cat person and, although I think dogs can be really cute and sweet, they make me sneeze so cats will always rule. I love faeries and magic, mythology, theology, philosophy, and psychology. I regularly do logic puzzles and sometimes crosswords. I adore Bette Midler, Betty White, and Carol Burnett. I am not ashamed to admit that I watch Glee. I would like to start making some of my own clothes because I can't stop myself from buying fabric. I'm sure that there is much more, but I'm suddenly distracted by something shiny.
