Derma MD Skincare

If you have been following my blog for a couple years, you may remember my experimenting with Derma MD skincare.  The brand sent me a ton of products to review, and I had several Derma MD giveaways throughout 2014.  I am a fan of the brand, and the CoQ 10 moisturizer is still one of my favorites.  So, when the good people at Derma MD approached me to review some of their new skincare products, I jumped at the chance.  You can read all about my previous experience with Derma MD and see my review of six products by following the link.  This time around, I’ll be reviewing the new 10% S.L.A.C. Exfoliating Peel Pads and the new Sensitive Pearl Cleanser.  My experience with these products is a little mixed, so let’s start with the Peel Pads.

10% S.L.A.C. Exfoliating Peel Pads

10% S.L.A.C. Exfoliating Peel Pads

The new 10% S.L.A.C. Exfoliating Peel Pads are easy to use, concentrated exfoliating pads that are designed to slough off dead skin cells while working some anti-aging magic.  Formulated with both Salicylic Acid & Lactic Acid, with the addition of both Vitamins A and C, it gently exfoliates without irritation, and is supposed to “brighten,  firm, improve texture, increase collagen synthesis, smooth and protect.” Derma MD claims that it is excellent for all skin types.  I am a fan of salicylic acid exfoliators.  They tend to work pretty well for me.  I actually really like what this product does for my skin, but I can’t use it.  Unfortunately, there is a very strong rosy perfume smell that I can not handle.  It is so strong, and it clings to the skin and my clothes.  I tried using the Peel Pads during the day, but I had to wash my face because I couldn’t stand the smell.  I can use the Peel Pads at night before bed, but I can still smell the powdery rose scent on my bedding and night clothes when I wake up in the morning.  Granted, I am extremely sensitive to scent, especially rose.  It’s possible that someone else might be able to handle the scent better than I can, and maybe even like it.  For me though, the smell ruins an otherwise good product.

Sensitive Pearl Cleanser

Sensitive Pearl Cleanser

My experience with the Derma MD Sensitive Pearl Cleanser was completely different from the Peel Pads.  I love the Sensitive Pearl Cleanser.  This moisturizing cleanser has a silky pearly cream base that feels lovely on the skin.  It fights premature aging with multiple antioxidants, stimulates collagen synthesis and has anti-inflammatory properties.  This cleanser is excellent for dry or sensitive skin.  It feels like you are washing your face with lotion, but it still feels completely cleansed when you are done.  It doesn’t dry my skin out in the slightest and it doesn’t give me that tight, squeaky feeling after I use it.  I would recommend this cleanser to anyone.  It’s great.

For more details on these products, or any of the ones that I previously reviewed, check out Derma MD’s website.  I’ve been checking their Facebook page, and have noticed several promotional sale events and special offers ranging from free gifts with purchase, opportunities to win gift cards, and 20%-50% off discounts.  They also offer a discount just for signing up for their mailing list.  You can find some Derma MD products available on sites like Hautelook, Groupon, and Zulily, which are all great ways to save up to almost 75%.

FTC Disclosure: The products reviewed in this post were provided to me for free by Derma MD for consideration.  This does not guarantee a positive review, and my thoughts on these products are 100% honest.  No other compensation was accepted.

Monthly Favorites and Fails, April 2015

Monthly Favorites April 2015

Monthly Favorites April 2015

It’s time for my April 2015 Monthly Favorites and Fails.  Didn’t I just do one of these?  (haha)  For anyone new to the blog, Monthly Favorites are those products that particularly stood out to me, and ones that I reached for over and over throughout the month.  Fails are products that simply did not work out and I do not recommend, because it is just as important to know what products to avoid as it is to know which ones to get.  April was a horrible month for me.  I was sick for 60-70% of the month.  First I had a monster stomach flu that knocked me out for the first half of the month.  Then, once I recovered from that, my husband got a head cold that he unfortunately passed on to me and my weakened immune system.  I didn’t leave my house that much in April, so I didn’t wear a ton of makeup.  When I was sick as a dog with stomach flu I pretty much ignored my skin care regimen, so the second half of the months was spent trying to repair the damage.  All of this means that my Favorites are a little different than normal.

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream

The one thing that I did manage to use all month long, even when I was at my sickest, was moisturizer.  The one that I chose First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream.  You can see a full review of the Ultra Repair Cream as well as some other FAB products here.  If you have dry skin, First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream is amazing.  I can put this on at night and wake up with it still on and moisturizing my face almost as well as when freshly applied.  Though it isn’t the best cream for anti-aging, and it doesn’t have a ton of super charged ingredients, it moisturizes like no other and does a great job of healing dry and flaky skin.  I use it on my eyes as well, and my skin feels supple and smooth.  Though First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream isn’t my all-time favorite moisturizer, it was a life saver for me all through April and I do recommend it for those with dry skin issues.

Perfectly Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum

Perfectly Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum

One I got well enough to start caring about my skin again, I turned to Perfectly Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum.  My biggest skin care issue this month was dry, dull, lifeless skin and this Hyaluronic Acid Serum did the trick to restore it.  Hyaluronic Acid is wonderful for the skin, especially in terms of moisture and younger looking skin.  Hyaluronic Acid is a substance that is naturally found within our bodies.  It is a protein that is found in the deeper layers of our skin.  As we age, our skin’s natural Hyaluronic Acid content can decrease, so the serum helps bring back vibrancy and radiance.  Perfectly Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum is a vegetarian product that is free of things like Parabens, Petroleum, SLS, Artificial Color and Fragrance.  Full transparency: this product was sent to me for free, but regardless, it is a great product.

Derma MD Soy Moisturizer Healing Intense Creme

Derma MD Soy Moisturizer Healing Intense Creme

Not only did my face need some TLC, but so did my body.  I turned to my Derma MD Soy Moisturizer Healing Intense Creme.  I have been taking a break from Derma MD skin care lately, but I have to say that I really like this Soy Moisturizer a lot.  It is so lightweight and dries down so quickly that you wouldn’t think that it would be all that moisturizing.  But oh my gosh, it is so wonderful for the skin.  It really is healing and feels silky soft.  I absolutely recommend using it, especially if you have skin issues like eczema or psoriasis.  But even if you don’t have those specific issues, it is great on elbows and knees, or any other dry spots.  Full transparency: this product was also sent to me for free.  Derma MD can be a little pricey if you order directly from them, but they are frequently featured on sites like Rue La La and Hautelook, so you can get their products for a fraction of the cost.

Jesse's Girl Pure Pigment Eye Dust in Sunlit Cactus

Jesse’s Girl Pure Pigment Eye Dust in Sunlit Cactus

I did have a couple of makeup favorites this month, and one of them is a rediscovered product.  This is Jesse’s Girl Pure Pigment Eye Dust in Sunlit Cactus.  I don’t even remember how long I have had it in my collection.  I don’t know about you, but I tend to get caught up in my palettes (Naked 2, Lorac Pro, Wet n Wild palettes, etc.) and my single shadows get neglected.  But that is a real shame.  Just LOOK at Sunlit cactus.  It is so gorgeous.  It shifts from fiery orange, to vibrant gold, to fairy green.  It is magical.  I know that some Rite-Aids carry Jesse’s Girl Pure Pigment Eye Dust, but if you can’t find it, Sunlit Cactus is available in the Jesse’s Girl website.

Fresh Sugar Tinted Lip Treatment in Honey

Fresh Sugar Tinted Lip Treatment in Honey

And my final Favorite for April is Fresh Sugar Tinted Lip Treatment in Honey.  I wasn’t in the mood to do much of anything with my lips this month, and Honey fit the bill for no fuss no muss.  You all know by now how much I love Fresh Sugar Tinted Lip Treatments.  They are one of my favorite lip products on the market, and the only complaint I have for them is their ridiculous price.  Honey came in a holiday set.  It is a sheer warm nude.  The formula is moisturizing and truly lovely.

Now onto this month’s Fails.  Always keep in mind that my reviews are based on my specific experience with these products, and good or bad, you may have different results.  So, just because I give a product a bad review, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it is a bad product.  It just means that it did not work for me.

Perfectly Pure Rose & Witch Hazel Toner

Perfectly Pure Rose & Witch Hazel Toner

Along with the Hyaluronic Acid Serum, I also received  Perfectly Pure Rose & Witch Hazel Toner for free.  Unfortunately, this did not work for me.  The formula isn’t bad, and it is just as natural and free from harmful products as the Hyaluronic Acid Serum, which is great.  But I could not stand the smell.  It smell like roses, and not good roses.  Grandma’s attic roses.  It is so gross.  The smell lingers on the skin, even when I use other products with it, all I can smell is roses and moth balls.  I used the toner three times and then gave up.  I just couldn’t handle it.  Big fail!

Derma MDGlamur LIP Plumpers Trio

Derma MDGlamur LIP Plumpers Trio

The final product that I want to talk about is another Derma MD product.  I should have known that this was going to be a fail before I even tried it.  This is the Derma MD Glamur LIP plumpers Trio in Hot & Sexy.  I don’t like lip plumpers.  I don’t like products with a minty tingle, or any tingle for that matter.  I just got seduced by Derma MD’s excellent skin care, so when they offered to send them to me I thought “why not”.  Well, I’ll tell you why.  Holy crap those things sting!  No.  Nope.  No thank you.  The shades are beautiful and pigmented, but I couldn’t keep them on my lips for more than a minute.  I’m actually a little surprised that Derma MD even offers lip plumpers because they are so bad for your lips.  Anyway, in my book lip plumpers are bad news and total fails.

And that is it for my Favorites and Fails for April.  I hope that you saw something that you liked.  I am hoping that May will bring me much better health.  I will be traveling back to North Carolina next week, so I need to be healthy for my trip.  Which reminds me, posting may be a little spotty next week.  I am hoping to have a couple guest posts up.  Fingers crossed.  I hope that April has treated you well, and that you are enjoying springtime.

14 Best of 2014

Standard
Best of 2014

Best of 2014

It is time for my wrap up of the products that I liked best in 2014.  These are products that didn’t necessarily come out in 2014, but that I loved and used in 2014.  It’s basically my most favorite of all my favorite products for the year.  If you have been paying attention over the last year, all of these products should be familiar to you.  I have mentioned all of them in at least one “Favorites” post, though I do try not to be too repetitive in those posts as much as possible.  These are definitely the products that I have been reaching for throughout the year, so let me get started.

Derma MD Copper CoQ10 Moisturizer

Derma MD Copper CoQ10 Moisturizer

First up, let’s talk skincare.  In 2014 I discovered Derma MD when they sent me several products for review.  The product that I have loved most from the brand is the Derma MD Copper CoQ10 Moisturizer.  This is my third bottle, and I am sure that I will continue to use the Copper CoQ10 for a while.  It has helped reduce my redness so much, which is my number one skin concern.  I love the moisturizer because it is not greasy or oily in the slightest, but delivers a ton of hydration that lasts for hours.  It is extremely lightweight and absorbs into the skin so easily that you don’t even notice it.  I think that it would be appropriate for all skin types, oily or dry.  It is a great product, and I recommend it to anyone.  Derma MD is often featured on sites like Hautelook and Rue La La to cut the cost by a significant amount.  I also have a 50% off promo code at dermamdskincare.com for my readers.  Enter code beautybudget at check out to receive the discount.

The Body Shop Honemania

The Body Shop Honeymania

Moving away from the face to the body is the Honeymania scent from The Body Shop.  I love this scent so much.  I have body butter, lip butter, and shower gel in Honeymania.  It smells like honey and wild flowers, and is just a gorgeous fresh scent.  I actually prefer the formula of the body butter more from The Body Shop than from Bath & Body Works.  It is less greasy and absorbs into the skin better.  Honestly though, I almost don’t care what product it is as long as it is in the Honeymania scent.  😉

Coastal Scents Bionic Flat Top Buffer

Coastal Scents Bionic Flat Top Buffer

Moving on to tools, the Coastal Scents Bionic Flat Top Buffer is a dead-on dupe for the Sigma F80, but for a fraction of the cost.  This is my favorite style of brush for blending in foundation.  I have a review for all of the details about how the brush performs.  The bristles are soft and densely packed, making it a fantastic foundation brush because it feels comfortable on the skin and blends everything out easily and evenly.  The handle is shorter than most, so the brush fits much easier into makeup bags than similar brushes.  I have washed it countless times, and have had no issues with shedding or bleeding.  The Bionic Flat Top Buffer is very well made and a high quality brush.  If you are considering getting the F80 you should consider this one first.

Sigma E-36 Blending Brush

Sigma E36 Blending Brush

One brush from Sigma that is 100% worth the hype and the money is the Sigma E36 Blending Brush.  This brush is essential for me.  I have hooded lids that aren’t too big, and this brush fits in the cease perfectly.  I can lay down dark crease shades without them getting out of control and taking over my look.  The E36 is very thin and has long, slightly firm bristles.  The small fluffy brush is just perfect for precision blending and I use it all the time.  It may be too small for those with really large eyes, but it’s so perfect for me.

Cover Girl Outlast Stay Fabulous Foundation & Revlon Nearly Naked Powder

Cover Girl Outlast Stay Fabulous Foundation & Revlon Nearly Naked Powder

When it comes to face makeup, my foundation and powder are repeat favorites that I had from last year.  I am combining them and only counting them as one because it is the pair of products used together that is my true favorite.  I am talking about the Cover Girl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation and the Revlon Nearly Naked Pressed Powder, both of which have me scraping the bottom to get the last bit.  The Cover Girl Outlast Stay Fabulous is really great and unique because it works equally well for those with oily or dry skin.  Very few products truly are for all skin types, but this foundation really is.  CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous is mattifying, without drying out your skin.  It has solid medium coverage, but is still lightweight and not cakey.  The best part is that it lasts all day long, even in the worst heat and humidity.  I definitely think that it is one of the best drugstore options for foundation.  Revlon Nearly Naked Pressed Powder is such a good product that if you haven’t tried it yet, you absolutely must.  I love how light it is, and the soft focus effect it gives to my skin is lovely.  It blurs the imperfections and makes me look younger.  Revlon Nearly Naked is (for me) the absolute best powder in the drugstore and definitely one that I will repurchase.  It’s tough for me to use up products all the way because I have so much makeup to choose from.  It says a lot that both of these products are basically empty.  I highly recommend them both.

Coastal Scents Forever Blush in Poetic

Coastal Scents Forever Blush in Poetic

Hopefully you aren’t sick of me talking about the Coastal Scents Forever Blush in Poetic, because it was definitely a major favorite for me this past year.  Poetic is a warm, nude peach with a satin finish that looks good for any occasion and on many different skin tones.  The Forever Blush formula is so great in general.  The blushes apply smoothly and evenly, and they have great pigmentation and staying power. You can read my full review to see swatches and get more details on the Forever Blushes.  Poetic is my favorite, though, because it is such a universally flattering shade.  I strongly recommend that you check it out.

Maybelline Master Hi-Light blush in Mauve

Maybelline Master Hi-Light blush in Mauve

I haven’t mentioned the Maybelline Master Hi-Light blush in Mauve since the Spring, but that doesn’t mean that I haven’t been using it.  It is such a beautiful shade, and it wears really well.  Mauve has definitely become one of my favorite blushes, especially when I want to skip highlighter and use a blush with some shimmer.  It is sort of a plum toned rose-gold shade that is different than any other shade I have in my collection.  The shimmer particles are finely milled and do not look chunky or glittery.  It gives me a lovely sheen and looks great.  A little goes a really long way, so I’ll have this blush for a long time.  I really love it.

Lorac Pro Palette 2

Lorac Pro Palette 2

There is no way that I can talk about my favorite products of 2014 without mentioning the Lorac Pro Palette 2.  It is probably my favorite palette of all of the palettes that I own, which says a lot because I have so many of them.  For me, the Lorac Pro 2 has such a perfect mix of shades that I can easily come up with dozens of looks that are beautiful and distinct without having to think too much about it.  I love that, unlike the Naked palettes, there are plenty of matte shades as well as the shimmers for looks that have more complexity and that wear better on aging eyes.  The neutral everyday shades are appropriate for any situation, and the few colorful shades add some whimsy and set the Lorac Pro 2 apart from most other neutral palettes.  The mix of warm and cool tones makes the palette universally flattering and a good choice for anyone.  All the shades have great pigmentation and blend very well with each other without getting muddy.  I personally don’t need primer when I use LORAC shadows to get crease-free wear that lasts all day.  I can not recommend this palette enough.  Feel free to read my full review of the Lorac Pro 2 with swatches for more information on the palette.

bareMinerals READY Eyeshadow

bareMinerals READY Eyeshadow

In 2014 I discovered bareMinerals READY Eyeshadow and have been so impressed.  I don’t know why it took me so long to try bareMinerals, but I have really been enjoying the brand.  I first tried a mini bareMinerals READY Eyeshadow 2.0 in “The Epiphany” that I got in a kit over the Holidays last year.  I could not get enough of the creamy, silky formula.  I reach for that duo all the time.  Next, I purchased the bareMinerals READY Eyeshadow 4.0 in “The Soundrack” and that same buttery texture had me hooked.  The shadows feel so luxe and expensive on the skin- a real high quality experience.  My most recent bareMinerals purchase is the READY Eyeshadow 4.0 in “The Happy Place” that was just delivered a week or so ago.  It is absolutely gorgeous, and I can’t wait to play some more with it.  BareMinerals READY Eyeshadows are a little pricey, but they are worth it in my opinion.

e.l.f. Essential Smudge Pot in Cruisin Chic

e.l.f. Essential Smudge Pot in Cruisin Chic

How many times have I talked about e.l.f. Essential Smudge Pot in Cruisin Chic this last year?  I have enjoyed the Smudge Pots in general, but Cruisin Chic is the number one “must-have” of the bunch.  The gel formula doesn’t crease, but also doesn’t dry out my lids.  It is lightweight and hardly noticeable.  It lasts all day long without fading.  And the best part is that the e.l.f. Essential Smudge Pot in Cruisin Chic is only $3 (e.l.f. recently raised their prices).  Be sure to check out my review of the Smudge Pots.  Cruisin Chic is gorgeous brown-based metallic taupe.  It is a great everyday option that looks so multidimensional that I can get away with wearing it all by itself, but it still looks like I put way more effort into the look.  It couldn’t be easier to apply with either a brush or your fingers.  I can’t think of a single reason why you shouldn’t get it.  Trust me, you need this in your life.

Fresh Sugar Tinted Lip Treatment

Fresh Sugar Tinted Lip Treatment

Another products that should be no surprise to find in my Best of 2014 roundup are the Fresh Sugar Tinted Lip Treatments.  Though I had tried them before this last year, I became obsessed with them in 2014.  I love the way that they make my lips feel.  The Fresh Sugar Tinted Lip Treatments are so hydrating and have a beautiful sheer wash of color that looks so natural and pretty.  My two favorite shades out of the line are Sugar Rose and Sugar Berry.  Sugar Rose is very sheer, but still gives my lips some life.  The look is almost like my lips have a fresh kiss blush that is quite attractive.  Sugar Berry is a plum-toned berry shade that has still has decent pigmentation, despite being a sheer balm.  It is what I wear when I want color on my lips, but still want my lips to look natural.  I have really fallen for the Fresh Sugar Tinted Lip Treatment line.  They are definitely a splurge, but I really think that they are worth a go.

Nivea Kiss of... Lip Care

Nivea Kiss of… Lip Care

My other lip love of 2014 is much more affordable, but just as wonderful.  I am addicted to the Nivea Kiss of Milk and Honey and Nivea Kiss of Olive Oil & Lemon lip balms.  I am a lip balm junkie, and I continue to try new lip balms when I get them in Ipsy bags or something like that, but I keep coming back to Nivea.  These balms are so extremely hydrating.  I have really dry lips, and am constantly re-applying my lip products.  The Nivea balms last longer than most, and the formula is lightweight and silky without being greasy or waxy.  They have no noticeable taste, and the pleasant scent is extremely subtle and only lasts during application.  They are fantastic, and I can’t live without them.

Born Pretty Store Water Decals

Born Pretty Store Water Decals

One of my favorite new discoveries from 2014 are the Water Decals that I’ve been getting from the Born Pretty Store.  I had never heard of water decals before Born Pretty contacted me.  There was a steep learning curve for figuring out how to use water decals, and the first two attempts were somewhat painstaking.  By my third try, however, I had my technique down and they were easy as pie.  I absolutely love how professional water decals make my nails look.  I don’t go to the salon to get manicures, and I have extremely limited talent when it comes to nail art.  Let’s be honest, I can barely paint my nails without making a mess.  But the water decals make my clumsy efforts look expertly executed.  They are basically a temporary tattoo for nails, and (once you get the hang of it) really easy to use.  I have gotten all of my water decals from the Born Pretty Store, so you can either type “water decals” in the search box or just click the Born Pretty category on the right hand side of the page for a closer look at the manicures that I have come up with using water decals.  They are really fun and my new favorite way to do nail art.

Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gioia fragrance

Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gioia fragrance

Finally, my favorite fragrance has been Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gioia.  Oh my god, you guys, it smells so good!   Acqua di Gioia is a fresh, clean aquatic scent, with light citrus and floral notes.  It instantly transports me to a villa in the Mediterranean, and I can’t get enough of it.  The image in my head when I smell Acqua di Gioia is of clean blue water and fluffy white towels.  The name means “water of joy” and I can’t think of a better and more accurate name for the scent.  My husband also loves it and always compliments me when I wear it.  In fact, he liked it so much he picked up the men’s version for himself.  You have to smell Acqua di Gioia, if you haven’t already.  It is truly lovely.

And that completes my Best of 2014 post.  These posts are hard to do because I have used so many great products over the year.  I do think that I was able to round up the best of the best, so to speak.  These are the products that have gotten the most love over the year and that I would recommend the most to you.  I hope that you saw something that you like.  Let me know what your favorite products have been throughout 2014.  Are there items that I really need to try?  Tell me about them in the comments below.

Derma MD Lifting & Tightening Eye Serum

Derma MD Lifting & Tightening Eye Serum

I have been trying the Derma MD Lifting & Tightening Eye Serum for the last six or seven weeks, and so today I want to share my thoughts with you.  If you have been following along for the last few months, you should be familiar with Derma MD by now.  If you are new, however, check out this review of my skincare regimen to see what other products Derma MD has to offer and what I thought of them.  My awesome contact at Derma MD, Mindy, sent me this nifty little roller ball for review.  The Lifting & Tightening Eye Serum is new to the Derma MD lineup, and I was all too happy to give it a try.

Here is what Derma MD has to say about the product: “Lightweight gel base formulated to lift-tighten-revitalize the appearance of the eye area.  Formulated with 10% Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, a non-toxic ingredient that is claimed to reduce lines by approximately 30% when used daily.  This exceptional proprietary formulation combines the properties of toning and lessens contractions of facial movement, thus works to lessen appearance of fine lines, wrinkles & deep furrows found around eye area and between eyebrows.  This unique peptide, combined with peptide Matrixyl 3000, will achieve long-term structuring of collagen to give eye area a more rejuvenated and younger looking appearance.

Derma MD Lifting & Tightening Eye Serum

Derma MD Lifting & Tightening Eye Serum

So, first off, I was intrigued by and admittedly a little dubious of the roller ball applicator.  All of the eye serums that I have used on the past have been in a pump, and I wasn’t sure how well the little roller ball would work.  It was a needless worry, though, because the roller ball works just fine for me.  As long as I take my time, I get a solid, even application of the product.  It’s only when I try to slap it on super quickly that the ball can skip a tiny bit, but if I go for a deliberate application, I have no issues.  This is an 8ml roller ball, and it will last you a good long while.  I thought that I might go through it quickly, but I have been using my serum for almost two months and I still have a good amount left.  I won’t need another one for some time.

As far as the serum itself, I think it works really well.  I apply it around my eyes after cleansing and let it dry while I apply the rest of my skincare routine.  My last step is to top the serum off with my Derma MD Peptide Eye Creme.  I have noticed a definite improvement in the fine lines around my eyes.  The skin looks a little tighter as well.  I am not saying that the Lifting & Tightening Eye Serum replaces injections and fillers or anything- no skincare product can- but there has been definite visible improvement.  The true test came when I asked my husband and sister if they noticed any difference and both of them said that I did look like I have less lines than I used to.  I really think that the Derma MD Lifting & Tightening Eye Serum Roller Ball works as promised.  You can also apply the serum elsewhere on your face to help with frown lines or any other wrinkles that you may be concerned with.

Derma MD Lifting & Tightening Eye Serum Roller Ball

Derma MD Lifting & Tightening Eye Serum Roller Ball

This is the original, first run, roller ball.  Mindy mentioned that they are doing a slight re-design to make the roller balls even better.  The Derma MD Lifting & Tightening Eye Serum Roller Ball retails for $64.95 at dermamdskincare.com.  I know that is a bit steep for a budget beauty blog, but considering how long the roller ball lasts, it’s not as bad as it may originally seem.  Derma MD has offered a 50% off promo code for my readers, bringing the price down to a much more manageable $32.50.  Enter code beautybudget at check out to receive the discount.  I absolutely think the Derma MD Lifting & Tightening Eye Serum is worth a try.  It has been a great addition to my skincare regimen, and I plan to keep using it.

I started this blog on a whim because I thought it would be fun (which it has been) and as an excuse to indulge my ever-increasing makeup obsession.  Despite pretty terrible pictures and not really knowing what I was doing, I found that I really enjoy blogging about beauty and how to work it into a budget.  I love hearing that I help people save money by trying cheaper alternatives to products that they’ve been spending a fortune on.   I am so thankful that you all enjoy my posts and take my opinion seriously.  It still amazes me that anyone is actually paying attention to what I have to say.  I’m thrilled when I hear that someone has found products that they really like as a result of something they read here on my blog.  I really appreciate all of the comments and support that you give me.  In the last three years, I have managed to grow my blog into something that I can be really proud of.  I have almost 600 posts, and well over 400,000 views.  I want to thank those of you who have supported me and watched me grow, and that is what this giveaway is all about.  I want to give back to you because I wouldn’t be doing this blog if it wasn’t for my readers.  So, as a thank you for sticking with me over the last three years, here are three different prize packages that you can win.  I’ve been collecting products for a while in anticipation for this giveaway.

Wow, that was a lot.  Be sure to let me know what your preference is when you enter.  The first winner I choose will get their first choice, the second winner will get their first choice, or second if the first was taken and so on.  If you don’t order your preferences, I will assume that you are equally happy with any of the prize packages, and I’ll choose one for you.  To enter, my usual rules apply.

  • You must be a subscriber to this blog (I check).  If you are not yet a subscriber, just enter your email address in the box on the right hand side of the page and hit the “Sign me up!” button.  A confirmation email will be mailed to you to verify that your address is a real one.  Once verified, you will receive email updates (you set the frequency) of any new posts so that you won’t miss a thing here on BiBB.  Or, if you have your own WordPress blog, “follow” me here and sub that way.
  • You must provide a valid email address so that when you win I can get your shipping details.
  • You must be willing to provide me with your mailing address so that I can ship your prize.  US only, please.  If you are under 18, you must have explicit permission from your parents to give out your address.  I don’t want any angry parents, so be honest kids.
  • You must leave a comment on this post in order to be entered.  Tell me something that you have gotten out of reading this blog.  What was your favorite post?  Have you discovered a favorite product because of something that you read here?  What keeps you coming back?  What would you like to see in the future?  Anything in that general vein.

You have two weeks to enter.  I will announce the winner on Wednesday 8/27.  Good luck to you all, and thanks again for 3 great years.

And, don’t forget that you still have time to enter my other current giveaway for a duo of Derma MD products.
