I had the best anniversary. We had a four-day weekend together, so we went exploring and had a great time. We ate French food, we went to a local museum, I took a ton of pictures at the botanical garden. It was awesome. And though I wasn’t posting, I was still ever mindful of the blog, so I stopped at some drugstores to take pics of new displays to share with you.
I finally spotted the new L’Oreal 2012 Project Runway display in my area. It seems like it has been months since I told you about this collection. Well, it’s finally here. The collection is split up into four mini collections, or “personalities”: the Artsy Muse, the Enchanted Queen, the Seductive Temptress, and the Wise Mystic. The collection includes lipstick, lip gloss, blush, nail polish, eyeshadow quads, and more. I picked up a couple items, so I’ll share swatches with you soon.
The other display that I’ve been waiting to see is this one featuring the five new shades of Maybelline Color tattoos. I saw these announced around the time the Fall Fashion week displays were announced, but I haven’t seen them in the store until now. These new shades are bold and vibrant, including fuchsia, teal, purple, bright green, and electric blue.
A very cute display I saw at Walgreens is the Sinful colors Bewitched Collection. This display contains both polishes and stripers. There is a beautiful glitter polish in this collection called Pumpkin Spice that looks like a very close dupe for China Glaze Electrify that came out with the Hunger Games Collection. So, if you missed Electrify, you may want Pumpkin Spice.
The annual Rite-Aid Blue Cross pumpkin polishes are back again. This display features mostly the Glow in the dark polishes, but I did see some glitter pumpkin polishes as well. (The photo was too blurry to post, sorry.)
Of course, October isn’t just about Halloween. I saw this Pink Your Look display at Walgreens. $1 will be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure through the Walgreens Way to Well Commitment for each Pink Your Look purchase of $25. In addition, you can receive 5,000 points on the new Balance Rewards card for every $25 purchase on participating items/brands.
I found these Limited Edition Maybelline Baby Lips duo sets at Walgreens. I have not used Baby Lips yet, but I know that a lot of people really love them. It was $8.49 for the set at my local Walgreens.
The Disney Villains are having a real moment right now. You all know about the e.l.f. Disney Villain Palettes, but I also stumbled across this display of imPRESS press-on manicures from Broadway. It looks like there are two styles per Villain.
That’s all for now. There were a lot if interesting products in the Project Runway Collection for L’Oreal. I tried to be good, and only get a couple things, but I am very tempted to get more. I am also kicking myself for not picking up SC Pumpkin Spice. I may have to make another trip to the store. I hope that something here caught your eye. Happy shopping! 🙂
