Spotted: New from CoverGirl

Standard

I was randomly at Walmart a week or so ago, and even though my local Walmart has a beauty department that is seriously lacking, I spotted some new items out from CoverGirl.  I promptly snapped some pictures with my cell phone so that I could show them to you.  As far as I know, these items have popped up at Walmart first, but are slowly tricking into other stores.  I have seen a small display with limited products at Walgreens, but that’s it so far.  I’m sure that they will be more readily available soon, though.

CG Clean Glow Blushes and Bronzers

First up are the CG Clean Glow Blushes and Bronzers.  I believe that there are three shades in the line, Peaches, Roses, and Spices, though it’s possible that I could be missing one.  Each compact comes with three shades of blush or bronzer, the lightest designed to be a highlight.

Here’s a closer look at the CG Clean Glow Blushes and Bronzers.  Also in this display is the Clean Whipped Creme Foundation

Here is a closer look at the new Clean Whipped Creme Foundation.  The jars are smaller than the Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Foundation, but I believe CG’s version is the same basic idea.  I have heard that the formula is a little lighter and slightly less coverage than Revlon, so if Colorstay Whipped was too much for you, CG Clean Whipped Creme Foundation may be a good choice.

CGFlamed Out

CG Flamed Out Mascara

CoverGirl has a new mascara out.  I’m a big fan of the CG Volume Express mascaras, so I wonder how this new  Flamed Out Mascara will stack up.  It’s really hard to see in this photo, but the display shows that the mascara has an hourglass shaped brush.  It pinches in at the middle, which is a little odd.  If you’ve used a brush like that, let me know how it has worked out for you.

CG Lipslicks Smoochies

Also part of the collection are the new CG Lipslicks Smoochies.  CoverGirl already has a line of lip products called Lipslicks, so be careful not to confuse those with these Smoochies.  The Smoocies claim to be a moisturizing color balm, so they are probably pretty sheer.  Both the packaging and the display feel pretty retro to me (late 80’s, early 90’s).  It also seems like they may be targeted at a younger demographic.  Maybe that’s just me.

There are more CoverGirl products that have recently been released for the summer, but this is all that my Walmart had to offer.  Again, these items will be popping up in other stores soon, if they haven’t already.  Keep your eyes out for these and other new products from CoverGirl.
